Special Talents: Excellent seamstress, good at all kinds of handicrafts. She loves to have lots of people around, especially on Holidays. One of her greatest joys is cooking for her family, then playing games around the kitchen table. She has always read a great deal, she's incredibly intelligent and bright. She began working in a coal mine in 1980. She's one tough lady.
From what I can remember of my Grandma she was truly remarkable. Yes sometimes she and I would have our moments of where we would butt heads but I believe that was in part to us being similar in personalities. She truly loved her family and loved to be with her kids and grand kids.
In August 2007 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She passed away in November 2007 after an incredible battle. I remember that she wasn't feeling well before she was officially diagnosed. When I graduated from High School in June she wasn't feeling well and was unable to make it to my graduation.
